Crabby Abby the Decorator Crab’s Big Heart and companion coloring book launched in October and are doing well. I am very excited about this book and its potential to delight and comfort kids who struggle with being themselves and maybe have experienced being laughed at. I love how Crabby Abby learns because Jesus loves her just as she is, she can forgive and remain kind to the kids who are unkind to her. A Gentle Whisper is a story very close to my heart and has been such a wonderful experience. It is my first co-author experience and I have loved every minute. It started because I watched a ReadBelieveGrow kid’s show on Youtube by my friend, Kirthana J. Fanning, and it featured the Bible story in 1Kings 19 where Elijah was waiting to hear from God and God was not in the fire, huge wind or earthquake, He was in the Gentle Whisper. And I thought, this has to be a book. I saw a whole story in my head, so I approached Kirthana and she suggested we write it together and I was so excited! A Gentle Whisper features a little boy named Eli who lives life OUT LOUD and that includes his prayers. He is also impatient and learns valuable lessons with the help of his grandma who comes for a visit.
A Gentle Whisper is also doing very well and has enjoyed the number one spot under new releases for Christian Children’s people and places genre as well as two other Christian children’s genres. It also has enjoyed number one in Kindle sales. Again, if you have read A Gentle Whisper, please write a review on Amazon, it helps so much.
Right before Christmas a third book will be out, Wonder of the Twinkly Lights featuring a young woodchuck named Chip, a Highland Calf named Ginger, and an owl named Old Paul. It is being published by ReadBelieveGrow Publishing and it is one of my favorite stories. It clearly tells the story of Jesus coming to Earth as a baby, and how He is the light of the world. Wonder of the Twinkly Lights is a sweet story young children will want to hear over and over, and the illustrations will be gorgeous! So stay tuned for a big announcement about this wonderful Christmas book coming out soon!!!
Next year should be very exciting with several books under contract including Scuppers the Pirate Puffin, (Lil Roni Publishers), Guinea Pig Sisters’ Forest Adventure, (Prolific Pulse Press LLC), The Search for a Star, A Crabby Abby Christmas, (Prolific Pulse Press LLC), Lenny’s Team, A Sunshine Story, (Lil Roni Publishers), plus other works in progress including an Easter Devotional for kids, an Easter story book featuring Chip, Old Paul and Ginger, and a middle elementary age chapter book called The Purrfect Style, co-written with Helen Castillo from Project Runway Season 12 and Project Runway All Stars Seasons 4 and 6. d
